SilverLeaf Ghost Pepper Salsa

I have been eating this salsa for years. Whole Foods used to sell it. It has the same level of heat as Tabasco, and I LOVE Tabasco's flavor, but the flavor of SilverLeaf's Ghost Pepper Salsa is beyond anything I have ever experienced. It is smokey, tangy, robust, hot, and delicious beyond measure. There are certain dishes we make that REQUIRE this salsa, or it simply doesn't taste the same. You only have to use a small amount, and you get the flavor, but can minimize the heat by using only a little bit. If you are like me, and love the flavor AND the heat, add more. But then you have to buy it more frequently. But for those whose mouths are more sensitive, simply use less, get the flavor, and lower the heat.There is no other salsa in the world that tastes like this. The other salsas from SilverLeaf taste completely different. They are good, but are not EXTRAORDINARY like their Ghost Pepper Salsa. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!! Every household needs at least three jars!I think I'll just buy the company.............

I'm pretty picky about salsa, but I took a chance on the Silverleaf Ghost Pepper Salsa, and I'm glad I did. It is hot (ghost peppers), but also has a nice taste, so you can use a little bit of it and get a lot of flavor. I like mine on omelets and breakfast tacos.

The salsa I got was quite stale. It was still "hot" but tasted bitter and dry. Color was dull brown, not deep red. I could only stomach a few bites before I tossed it. I give an extra star here because it seems like maybe I just got a bad batch, and I could see this being a good salsa if it was fresh. But what I got wasn't fresh at all.

Hot and good tasting a rare combination

I initially ordered one jar. Two days after I got it I ordered four more. This is THE taste in salsa I've been looking for for years! They have nailed it. Perfect for huevos rancheros. All my Mexican recipes have now come alive and taste authentic. I'm always looking for HOT and this delivers on that....I wasn't expecting the great flavor too. I hope they never change the recipe.

This is my go to salsa for the flavor is top notch. Has a nice spicy kick. Best ghost pepper I have tried so far
