Great low-cost solution!
I fully concur with all the five star reviews. I would like to add a few instructions that aren't clear in the limited instructions. The most glaring was with the use of an external potentiometer for frequency control. I used a 5k pot and could only get 25.9 hz when fully wound open. This was due to the factory preset on P73 being at 65535 instead of 31440. It is a ballache to reset but it does insure you get full operating spectrum when using a remote analog signal. Hope this helps.

Jadeshay 2.2Kw VFD 3 ph
Bought this to replace a 1.5kw which had blown up. Has more drive in from the motor, Good product, works well, but has no gland plate. Connection leaves conductor sheath exposed under unit so could look untiedy.

Good quality product, works well when properly wired.
Does what it's designed to do. It provides a useful variable frequency drive to a 3 phase motor from a single phase supply. If properly wired it will drive the motor with the added benefit of soft starting and variable speed control. This was purchased to power a second hand Startrite 352 bandsaw. I had to decide whether to buy a single phase motor or try a single to 3 phase converter. My neighbour Andy suggested the latter was probably the easier option and helped me choose this inverter and install it. Despite some poor reviews most seemed positive so we purchased the Jadeshay. The first thing to note is that this inverter has a multitude of programmable functions which can be daunting but just opt for the default values (but do check them). The second very important thing to note is that it is designed to run motors in 3 phase 'Delta' configuration and NOT 'Star' configuration, so check the motor plate before considering further. My bandsaw motor was set up for a 380VAC 3 phase supply and wired for Star configuration in the motor wiring junction box. Fortunately the motor is a quality British Compton motor with option for Star OR Delta wiring 380/220 VAC. This required a fairly straightforward change that was detailed in the bandsaw manual. I recommend making a clear diagram of the required connections when carrying out the work. A third point to note is that the bandsaw motor contactor solenoid requires a "clean" AC supply which due to the electronic VFD function doesn't allow feeding the solenoid coil from the 3 phase output. I got around this issue by feeding the contactor solenoid via the single phase supplied to the inverter. This maintained the no volt release safety feature of the On/Off buttons and the safety interlock on the machine doors. The saw contactor can be energised first and then the saw powered on via the start push button on the AT1. The speed of the saw can be slowly increased via the control knob providing a useful "soft start" action. The emergency STOP on the saw will disconnect the 3 phase supply to the motor if required but using the stop button on the VFD box is also effective with electronic braking. One dislike is that the cable entry doesn't provide for full shielding or strain relief. To ensure safety, use double insulated cables and ideally use some PVC flexible conduit to provide protection and additional barrier at the cable entry point. A cable tie can be used to keep the conduit in place.
