One of the most popular and critically acclaimed graphic novels of all time, Neil Gaiman’s award-winning masterpiece THE SANDMAN has set the standard for mature, lyrical fantasy in the modern comics era. Illustrated by an exemplary selection of the medium’s most gifted artists, the series is a rich blend of modern and ancient mythology into which contemporary fiction, historical drama, and legend are seamlessly interwoven. In A GAME OF YOU, the imagined landscapes of childhood are transformed into the battleground for a deadly contest of wills. As cracks appear in the wall that separates the waking world from the Dreaming, a group of young New Yorkers is drawn inexorably through the gaps into a long-forgotten corner of the Dream King's realm—a setting that is both eerily familiar and disturbingly malignant. Review: A Master storyteller in top form - I read this entire book in one go. I could not wait to see how it would conclude. Neil Gaiman is an amazing talent and his Sandman series is the best series of graphic novels I have ever read. My favorite part of this story was the characters. Barbie, Wanda, Hazel, and Fox. To be honest Thessaly kind of scared me. Morpheus appears to conclude the story and bring about the ending. To be honest I hated that Wanda died but it was great to get that glimpse of Death in the end, she is my favorite character. Another amazing story from a master storyteller. Review: One of my favorites so far - This was one of the best ones yet, it really had nothing to do with the dream king, lord morpheus. But one of the best dream scenarios and story lines that followed the dreaming and the story of the few that weren't dreaming. Just great as they always are.

Fantastic entry!
Not every volume of sandman is a banger(speaking as someone who is currently reading vol 6), but I can assure you this one is! Without spoiling anything, I love it when we get to revisit characters we met in earlier stories or who we’ve only heard mentioned before. The standout story in this novel has to be the one it’s named after, a game of you. It was so well written I actually went back and reread it. Cant recommend this book enough!

It’s hard to rate a work of art
As hard as it for me too review a piece of literature (in this case a comic book), I found it is easy to divulge in the intricacies of Gaiman’s storyline (although not in this review). This volume is less interesting than those previous I read. I find this read on the same level as volume 3: Dream Country. This volume does not scatter short stories throughout the narrative, but does show the same vibe. You don’t see Dream (Morpheus) much in this volume, but there is always a sense within the reader to always keep him in the background. The Dream setting and how it interplays with reality accounts for Dream’s responsibility to captivate the reader into his world. What I always love about this series is it defies many boundaries that many comic books haven’t dared venture. Let’s give a round of applause for Keith, Gaiman, and the rest of the DC team for creating a masterpiece.

Neil Gaiman made me revisit my childhood dreams
Yet another wonderful tale by the master storyteller. Mr. Gaiman’s magic seem to permeate every page of this comic book in which Morpheus play a small but significant role in the end. It tells the story of how certain segments of society deemed as outcasts try their best to live their lives as normally as possible. I feel for Wanda, Hazel and Foxglove the likes that I have never felt before. Thessaly is more of an enigma and I leave it at that. But what enthralls me the most is how close they were to Barbie even to the extent of rescuing her from the Cuckoo. In the end when Barbie dreamed of seeing Wanda with Death, it occurred to me that there is a happy ending after all for Wanda. Kudos to you Mr. Gaiman for getting me into your world. I might just stay here for a while longer.

Best so far in Sandman?
There has recently proliferated a question as to whether “A Game of You” has transphobic content. Written over 30 years ago, this volume was farsighted and prescient in its advocacy for LGBTQI+ communities. Gaiman responded to the recent suggestions of intolerance by saying “I guess you don’t understand how literature works,” meaning that a character may reveal an opinion but one takes the story as a whole. Even the inclusion of non-binary, gay, lesbian characters in the early 1980s was a step toward acceptance. The action in this volume left me frequently to wonder how in the world Gaiman/Sandman could resolve the seemingly impossible tangle before them. I look forward to completing the set over time, but this and volume II are my favorites!

perfection
Neil did nothing wrong and a pox on anyone who thinks otherwise. A master craftsman attempted to be brought down by low people with a ax to grind

Excellent
This shows how masterful Gaiman is at weaving the threads of characters and arcs that had bubbled up in his tales prior. The secondary characters are what make Sandman as both a comic and a character. The sympathetic portrayal of Wanda, Foxglove being a character mentioned in the past that would definitely reappear in the future, the reconciliation at the end. All thematic and a little ahead of its time. Good work here.

Inusitado
É incrível como este arco traz elementos inusitados e outros tão incríveis e consiga discutir e desenvolver bem todos eles.

Love this series
And this volume was just as gripping and amazing as the previous ones. I love the characters, how they just pull you right in. The art is incredible, and the story was fascinating. Of course, Morpheus himself is such an enigmatic character, he barely needs to be in the story to be intriguing, but the characters this volume focused on were engaging and interesting on their own, particularly Wanda. I love the representation here, and the ending was sad and bittersweet. I'll be devouring the rest of this whole collection soon, believe me, and I recommend The Sandman as a whole to anyone wanting to give graphic novels a try.

Book is delivered to me in good condition. As per story, good. Less famous of the 10 volumes but still consistent

Wonderful
Fantastic as always. Neil Gaiman never disappoints. I can’t wait to continue with these comics. Though I would’ve liked to know about what Barbie dreams about now
