A life changer for me.
I do not have much experience with tens units but I have lots of experience with pain. I hurt myself somehow about three weeks ago. The only way to describe my pain is like the top half of my body is so heavy and crushing my tailbone etc. I've used a heating pad so much that it looks like I have stretch marks all over my body but my doctor says they are infrared burns. I have been on tramadol and flexiril which make me groggy and not me. I can't get anything done and they barely help the pain. I am telling you all of this because I want you to understand that this tens unit did not just get me through a little pain here and there, it has improved my quality of life. I can finally move and get out if bed again. Each time I have used it, I have been able to go a little longer without needing the next treatment so soon. even with extreme pain like I have had, I have not had to go up too far on the levels. I loved that this is a dual tens unit. I can use it on my upper back and the lower part of my lower back at the same time and only on the levels I need. So far I enjoy the 4th setting with a 4 on the upper part of my back and a 6 on the lower part. I am able to move around and get things done around the house that I have not been able to do for some time. The patches stay on great through my movements. It Is Recommended to only use this unit For 30 minutes a session with up to 3 sessions a day, between 4-6 hours apart. I did cheat a little bit, I used it 4 times at first. Like I said before though, with each time I used it. The pain stayed away a little longer. I was really surprised at how powerful this little thing is. Especially for only running on 3 AAA batteries. The batteries seem to be lasting a long time as well. The best part about this is, it's simple to use. I literally had it set up and going 10 minutes after opening the box. There are 6 different modes and you can select from several different places on the body to use them Just by the click of a button. It shows you with an arrow on the screen of what you select. Another cool thing is it has a clip so you don't have to depend on carrying it awkardly And even if you bump it on something, no worried because it locks 30 seconds after inactivity so you don't accidentally change the intensity. I went from horrible massive stuck in bed. Indescribable pain. To being able to get around, clean the house, cook, and do household chores. This literally has saved my life, right when I was about to give up hope. I honestly didn't think it would work because of the price and the other reviews but it was in my price range for what I had saved up for one of these. It didn't look as fancy as the other more expensive ones on amazon. I can't speak for the other units but this one, is well worth it if you suffer from pain. I would buy this over and over again.

It works great for me
I love it. I have had back problems for about 2 years. Most pain on upper right side. After many tests including 3 MRI's, xrays, bone density, blood and most anything else you can name, I also tried two different chiropractors with not much relief. They also used TENS. The only thing the doctors could come up with was nerve damage. I read the reviews on here and the help that this product gave to a lot of people. After using this for several weeks I can honestly say it has helped me and I am very pleased with the results. The product is very easy to use. Once set up you don't have to change anything the next time you use it. It has programs which tell you which setting they suggest to use for what condition however I have found that I like to set it manually and do not follow any set program. I tried the different settings and found using a P setting of 4 and the PE for neck feels the best. As for intensity I started out at 8 however am now up to 17 on lower back and farther up at 14. The stimulation bounces back and forth using 2 of the pads at a time going from one set of 2 to the other set of 2.. I use all 4 pads at a time. I try and do it twice a day, but some days my back feels much better so I skip one session. The remote times how long you are doing it and shuts off in a half hour so your treatment is perfect each time. This may not work for everybody but for me it sure did. Beats taking pills to cover the pain. I no longer take anything.

The AccuRelief Dual-Channel TENS Unit - the BEST "Bang for the Buck"
I've had the AccuRelief Dual Channel TENS Unit for a little over a month now, and I have to say, when it comes to price vs performance, I'd challenge you to find a better unit. Over the past eight years, I've had two ankle surgeries, both of which required extensive physical therapy, and both of which included every session ending with a TENS unit being attached to my ankle. Those "base units" (I refer to them due to the fact that they are plugged into a wall outlet) max out at a setting of '20', which is where I had the therapists set it the majority of the time. The AccuRelief unit peaks at '25', and I' here to tell you, I haven't been able to set it above nine. That should tell you how powerful this unit is. The price is extremely reasonable, especially for a dual-channel unit. Additionally, in regards to areas of the body, it has more than enough pre-programmed settings. In short, there are many, many positives I could extoll about the AccuRelief unit. I have only one complaint, and, to be completely honest, it is a very minor one. I'd preferred to have been able to set the length of time...even if only in 5 or 10-minute increments...instead of the only pre-programmed length set at 30 minutes. Don't get me wrong...a 30 minute length is actually quite excellent...but, in addition to the 30-minute setting, I'd have greatly appreciated the ability, if I so chose, of setting it for 10, 15, or 20 minutes. As I said, this is a very minor "complaint", which is why I still gave it a 5-star rating. I've already told more than a few co-workers, as well as family and friends, about the unit, and, as of now, two co-workers have ordered them (one has been using his for a couple weeks now, while the other just received hers on Friday). I've even gone ahead and ordered a second unit, as a Christmas gift for my parents. In short, if you're looking to get a dual-channel TENS unit, for yourself, or someone else, I can give no higher recommendation to purchasing the AccuRelief unit. The price is excellent. The quality is excellent. The power ability is excellent. When you combine all this, you should have no others to consider.

Good machine, could be better
It is great. While TENS therapy has been ruled out as being an effective treatment for physical therapy, it creates a distraction from pain for a short time and both my wife and I would use it on nagging pains. There are some problems with this machine and it's instruction manual. The manual specifies that there is a positive and negative cord marked clearly. There isn't. I found out there is no difference between different polarities and they both are interchangeable. The 43 page Manual has a chart on page 25 showing what program to use and for what part of the body. I wish this could be printed on a separate laminated card, or on the outside back cover of the manual for easy reference. It is difficult to look through the manual while you are in pain to find what program to use. The device itself has a back-lit display that shows the program type, and with a arrow pointing towards one of 6 "body areas" printed around the frame of the display. The problem is that area is not back-lit or easy to read unless you have a light shining on it. In order to know where to point the arrow, you'll have to turn on the room lights to be able to read the body area. Reading through the manual, you know there are two sets of 6 programs: P1 through P6, and six different PE programs for different parts of the body. Problem is there isn't much information on when to use the "P1-P6" programs, as opposed to the PE programs. The manual could provide much more detailed information. And for the life of me, I cann't find a setting to use for the upper back and sides under upper arms.

Powerhouse disguised in a tiny body
I ordered this TENS unit to use during labor after researching the benefits and widespread use in the UK and other developed countries. I am extremely satisfied with this little unit. My mother had a prescription unit that doesn't even compare to this one (and she paid four times as much for it). After I used it for labor, my spouse decided to try it for his post-workout (intense cardio and weight lifting) aches and pains. My spouse also reported that this unit was effective for easing the pains associated with muscle strain after his visits to the gym. PROS: -Effective during labor to help with contraction pains. -Works well to ease post-workout pains -Compact size makes it easily portable in any scenario CONS: -Locks itself and you have to unlock it to change the therapy setting (this was easy enough, unless you are distracted by labor pains...it was not a huge issue for my spouse). -Limited number of sticky pads, but can easily be ordered on Amazon. -Wish it had a bit more oomph in the moment and for my specific use, but otherwise there is no complaint from this buyer. Overall, I gave this little powerhouse unit five stars because it out-performed my mother's prescription unit. I had a good experience with labor pains and feel as if this TENS unit was key in moving things along while lessening the pain. My spouse also reports that this specific unit really has helped him ease the aftermath of his intense workouts and is happy to have benefited from my purchase.
